GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team fell 3–0 to Calvin on Wednesday night at Van Noord Arena, with set scores of 25–11, 25–15, and 25–19. The Knights are currently receiving votes in the AVCA national rankings.
Calvin hit .198 as a team while Kalamazoo finished at -.099.
Ava Bechler led the Hornets with four kills while hitting .375 and contributing to five blocks. Brittany Miller also tallied four kills and eight digs. Savannah Chapie contributed three kills, and Tatum Casper finished with two.
Makala Goddard and Bella Lewis shared setting duties, recording nine and six assists, respectively. Rachel Meston paced the back row with 17 digs, while Ashley Zollman added six. Goddard served two of Kalamazoo's three aces.
The Hornets return to action Friday, Oct. 24, when they host Oberlin at 7 p.m. inside Anderson Athletic Center.
