KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team lost, 4-1, against Calvin Tuesday at MacKenzie Field. With the loss, the Hornets are now 9-4-4 (3-1-3 MIAA), while Calvin improved to 11-4 (7-0 MIAA).
It was the Most Valuable Professors game for women's soccer, with each of the team's six seniors honoring a member of the Kalamazoo College faculty.
Calvin opened the scoring with a goal in the 11th minute.
Kalamazoo responded with a goal by Zelda Molitor in the 14th minute on a header off a great free kick feed from Anni Schnell.
The Knights used goals in the 51st and 55th minutes to jump ahead, 3-1, early in the second half. Calvin found the back of the net again in the 86th minute to cap off the scoring.
Jess Forbis made 12 saves in the match.
The Hornets head to Hope for the regular season finale on Saturday at 12 p.m.
