AUGUSTA, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's golf team won the Hornet Fall Invite on Monday at Stonehedge Golf Club.

Kalamazoo shot 320 overall to defeat Alma (357).

Jacey Merkle and Ellie Britt tied for first overall by shooting 78. Merkle, who had a hole-in-one on hole 11 today, earned medalist honors by way of the tiebreaker.

Nadia Zerlaut and Jillian Smith each shot 82 to tie for third overall.

The Hornet Fall Invite is Kalamazoo's final event of the fall. The Hornets will return to competition in the spring.
