HOLLAND, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team lost, 3-0, at Hope Wednesday. With the loss, the Hornets' record now stands at 3-7-2 (1-1-1 MIAA), while Hope improved to 6-5-2 (2-0-1 MIAA).
Hope opened the scoring with a goal in the 36th minute. In the second half, the Flying Dutchmen added goals in the 78th and 89th minutes to secure the victory.
Kalamazoo kept the shots even with Hope in the first half, 7-7, but finished the match behind in total shots, 28-13, and shots on goal, 10-4.
Jackson Janderwski made seven saves in defeat, his second-highest total this season.
The Hornets return home to face Calvin for the Compete for a Cause Game this Saturday at 7 p.m. at MacKenzie Field.
