KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team tied against Adrian on Saturday at MacKenzie Field, 2-2. The Hornets' record now stands at 3-6-2 (1-0-1 MIAA), while Adrian is 3-9-1 (1-0-1 MIAA).
After a scoreless and cardless first half, action exploded in the second with four goals and five yellow cards.
Evan Pollens-Voigt opened the scoring in the 50th minute with a header off a corner kick from Elijah Vue to put Kalamazoo on top.
The Bulldogs answered with a penalty kick goal in the 69th minute to tie the score at one apiece.
Henry Plumstead put the Hornets back ahead in a hurry with a penalty kick goal of his own on Senior Night in the 70th minute.
In the 85th minute, Adrian scored again to knot the score 2-2, with neither side able to break the tie before the final buzzer.
Kalamazoo led in total shots, 18-12, shots on goal, 8-4, and corners, 9-5. Jackson Janderwski made two saves in the match.
The Hornets continue MIAA play at Hope on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
