KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team falls to the University of Chicago 82-48 on Saturday, Jan. 4
th to begin the 2025 calendar year. The Hornets fall to 7-4 overall this season.
Kalamazoo shot 30.8% from the field and 52.2% from the free-throw line. UChicago shot 43.8% from the field, 33.3% behind the arc, and 66.7% on the free-throw line. UChicago outrebounded Kalamazoo 53-31.
Carter Bandemer led the Hornets with 12 points on 5-9 shooting from the field and knocking down two threes.
Caleb Caul notched seven points on 1-3 shooting from the field and 5-10 on the free-throw line.
Patrick Perez added six points and two rebounds.
Lukas Broadsword led the Hornets in rebounds, with six rebounds, four points, and three assists.
Gavin Van Kampen and
DJ Ferguson both scored four points off the bench for Kalamazoo.
