OLIVET, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team fell 95-64 to Olivet on the road Wednesday (Jan.22). The Hornets move to 8-8 overall and 1-4 in MIAA play this season.
Kalamazoo shot 33.9% from the field, 35.5% behind the arc, and 76.5% on the free throw line. Olivet shot 61.2% from the field, 38.1% from three-point range, and 71.4% on the line. The Comets outrebounded the Hornets 38-30.
The Kalamazoo bench contributed 36 points compared to Olivet's 26.
Jackson Keefer led the Hornets with a career-high 21 points on 7-11 shooting.
Lukas Broadsword led Kalamazoo with six rebounds, 14 points, and two assists.
DJ Ferguson notched up seven points on 3-7 shooting in the field.
Lucas Hanifan recorded six points nailing two threes, four rebounds, and one assist.
Carter Bandemer and
Patrick Perez scored three points each to the Hornets' final score.
The Hornets return to action on Saturday as they travel to take on Albion at 3 p.m.
