DECATUR, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team was defeated 4-1 at Millikin University on Sunday afternoon.
The host Big Blue scored eight minutes into the contest off a corner kick. Millikin scored again off a direct kick in the 42nd minute to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
Millikin went up 3-0 three minutes into the second half. Kalamazoo got on the board in the 78th minute with a goal by
Ellie Andrews. Millikin scored its fourth goal in the 81st minute.
Kalamazoo outshot Millikin 15-8 overall. The Big Blue held a 6-5 edge in shots on goal.
Jess Forbis was credited with two saves in goal.
Kalamazoo is back in action on Monday, Sept. 2, at Greenville University (Ill.) at 1:30 p.m. CT.Â
