KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won its season opener 6-3 over the College of Wooster at home inside the Markin Center on Saturday.

Kalamazoo swept a very competitive three doubles points before winning three of the six singles matches to earn the win.

Juliana Pullen/Maddie Hurley won 8-7(1) at one doubles. Olivia Wolfe/Ivy Walker won 8-7(4) at two. Eleni Bougioukou/Soussana Kimbouris won 8-4 at three.

In singles, Pullen won 6-3, 6-4 at one, Walker won 7-5, 6-3 at four and Kimbouris won 6-0, 6-1 at six. Wolfe lost in a super tie-breaker 6-2, 4-6, 10-6.

Kalamazoo is back in action Sunday morning when the Hornets host Oberlin College at 10 a.m. inside Markin.
