KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team was defeated in four sets by Olivet at home on Saturday, 25-20, 21-25, 25-23, 25-12.
 After splitting the first two sets, Olivet won the third set 25-23 after nine ties and seven lead changes. The Comets finished the match win with a 25-12 victory in the fourth set.
Olivet hit .183 in the match compared to .098 by Kalamazoo. Each team had nine aces.
Brittany Miller led Kalamazoo with 15 kills, 18 digs, three aces and three block assists.
Ann Lawrence finished with 12 kills.
Makala Goddard had a team-high 17 assists.
Emerson Arensman added 12.
Savannah Chapie was in on four blocks to go with four kills.
Lizzy Rachiele added 11 digs.
Josee Cooke and
Olive Ryder each had 10.
Kalamazoo returns to action on Oct. 9 at Alma.
