Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Falls 3-2 at North Central

NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was defeated 3-2 at North Central College on Saturday.

The host Cardinals scored first in the 31st minute and carried the 1-0 lead into halftime.

North Central scored again in the 69th minute.

Henry Plumstead made it a 2-1 game with a goal in the 77th minute for the Hornets. Lucas Ruiz tied it up with a goal four minutes later in the 81st minute, assisted by Plumstead.

Just over a minute later in the 82nd minute, North Central went ahead with an own goal and held on for the 3-2 win.

North Central outshot Kalamazoo 20-10 overall, 11-3 on goal. The Cardinals also had nine corner kicks to Kalamazoo's four.

Darius Wright III was credited with nine saves in goal for the Hornets.

Kalamazoo returns home to open MIAA play against Alma on Wednesday, Oct. 9, at  7 p.m.
