Box Score KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team played Hope College to a 2-2 tie in the Hornets' regular season finale Saturday afternoon at MacKenzie Field. Hope entered the week receiving votes in the Top 25 coaches poll.
Hope controlled possession much of the first half and scored the first goal in the 19th minute.
After trailing 1-0 at halftime,
Sydney Hagaman scored off a pass from
Callie Abair to even the score just 38 seconds into the second half.
Hope pulled ahead 2-1 with a goal in the 55th minute. In the 83rd minute,
Ruby Hogan was awarded a penalty kick. Her shot was saved but Rogan tapped the rebound in to tie the game at 2-2.Â
Hope had a corner kick in the closing minutes but neither team was able to get a shot on goal as the game ended in a tie.
Hope outshot Kalamazoo 23-7 overall, 8-6 on goal. Hope had 13 corner kicks to Kalamazoo's one.
Jess Forbis was credited with six saves in goal for the Hornets.
