Game Recap: Men's Soccer |

Men's Soccer Plays Trine to 1-1 Tie

KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team played Trine to a 1-1 tie Saturday night at MacKenzie Field.

In a physical game with 31 fouls called, the game was scoreless at halftime.

The Hornets went a man down after a second yellow in the 61st minute. Trine took advantage and scored the game's first goal in the 67th minute.

Kalamazoo's Lucas Ruiz tied it up three minutes later with a goal off a pass from Joey Basil.

Trine took nine shots in the final 17 minutes but was unable to score a game-winner.

The Thunder outshot Kalamazoo 18-4 overall, 5-3 on goal. Trine had three corner kicks to Kalamazoo's one.

Alex Kish was credited with four saves in goal in his first start of the season.

Kalamazoo closes out the regular season on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at Albion.
