KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team was defeated in three sets by Calvin at home Wednesday night, 25-16, 25-11, 25-14. The Knights entered the match receiving votes in this week's AVCA Top 25 poll.
Calvin hit .272 overall, including .406 in the first set. Kalamazoo hit .027 overall, including .152 in the first set.
Ava Bechler led Kalamazoo with seven kills.
Savannah Chapie had six kills and a solo block.
Taylor Stephens had five kills and five digs.
Tatum Casper finished with four kills.
Makala Goddard had a team-high 11 assists with seven digs.
Emerson Arensman had eight assists.
Brittany Miller finished with 12 digs.
Lizzy Rachiele had 11 digs and three assists.
Rachel Meston finished with eight digs.
The Hornets are back home Friday when they host Alma College in a non-conference match at 6:30 p.m.
