GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's soccer team was defeated 6-1 in MIAA play at Calvin University Tuesday night.
The host Knights scored their first goal in the fourth minute of the contest and led 5-0 after 34 minutes of play. Calvin went ahead 6-0 with a goal four minutes into the second half.
Ruby Hogan scored Kalamazoo's only goal in the 81st minute.
Calvin outshot Kalamazoo 30-9 overall, 14-5 on goal.
Kalamazoo returns home for the regular season finale against Hope on Saturday, Oct. 26, at noon. Saturday's "Compete for a Cause" game will benefit the Kalamazoo Humane Society.
