KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was defeated 2-0 by Wheaton (Ill.) Wednesday evening at MacKenzie Field.

The Thunder struck early with a goal from Cooper Falling in the third minute (2:29) of the first half to take the 1-0 lead. They followed that with a goal from Timmy Jones in the 16th minute who scored off a blocked shot by Kyle Johnson to give Wheaton the 2-0 lead and victory.

Wheaton outshot Kalamazoo 13-12 overall, 4-3 on goal. The Hornets
Lucas Ruiz had five shots total (1 on goal) and
Henry Plumstead had three shots.

Gavin Houtkooper had three saves in goal for Kalamazoo.

The Hornets return to action on Saturday, Oct. 5 at North Central (Ill.) at 1 p.m. CT.
