KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was defeated 8-1 by No. 26 Denison University at home on Sunday.

Denison swept the three doubles matches before winning five of the six singles matches.

Renee Torres earned Kalamazoo's only point in the match, winning 6-3, 6-4 at one singles.

Sophie Zhuang had a close match at two singles, falling 6-4, 6-4.

Meghan Killmaster/Maddie Hurley had the closest match in doubles, falling 8-4 at number two. 

Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday, March 11, when the Hornets open MIAA play at home against Alma at 1 p.m.
