KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team defeated Saint Mary's 6-3 at Stowe Stadium on Tuesday.

The win moved Kalamazoo into sole possession of second place in the MIAA.

Kalamazoo won two of the three doubles matches to take a 2-1 lead in the match. The Hornets went up 4-1 with two singles wins before the Belles won one to make it 4-2. Maddy Winarski clinched match with a win at two singles.

Winning in doubles for Kalamazoo were: Laura Hanselman/Sonal Bahl (1) and Maddy Winarski/Ella Knight (2).

Singles winners for Kalamazoo were: Hanselman (1), Winarski (2), Caroline Norton (4), and Sonal Bahl (6).

Kalamazoo is scheduled to play non-conference matches at Lake Forest and Wheaton on Saturday.
