KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won a tight contest 5-4 over Calvin on Saturday afternoon at Stowe Stadium.

The Hornets took two and three doubles to lead 2-1 heading into singles play. Maddy Winarski won a crucial point at two singles 7-6, 6-0, winning the first set in a tie breaker to help K overcome losses at one and three. 

Alex Oswalt and Sonal Bahl clinched the victory for K with dominant performances at four and six singles, respectively. Oswalt was a 6-2, 6-1 winner and Bahl took her match 6-3, 6-1.

With the win, K sends off seniors Maria Franco and Alex Oswalt on a high note and finishes the season 10-9 overall and 6-2 in MIAA play.
