KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team defeated Adrian 8-1 in the Markin Center Saturday.

Kalamazoo swept the three doubles points before winning five of the six singles matches. The only blemish was a 10-7 loss in a third set 10-point tiebreak.

Winning in doubles for Kalamazoo was: Maria Franco/Sonal Bahl (1), Alex Oswalt/Maddy Winarski (2) and Helen Pelak/Bella Russo (3).

Winning in singles for the Hornets were: Franco (1), Winarski (2), Oswalt (4), Russo (5) and Sonal Bahl (6).

Kalamazoo returns to action Tuesday, April 17 at Saint Mary's.
