KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team was defeated 6-3 by Oberlin on Saturday morning. 

Maria Franco and Laura Hanselman were off the court first for the Hornets with an 8-2 win at one doubles, but Oberlin took the next doubles matches to head into singles play with the lead.

Maria Franco made short work of her opponent at one singles with a 6-3, 6-0 victory. Maddy Winarski was also a winner for the Hornets with a hard fought 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win at three singles, but in the end Oberlin was too much for K as the Yeowomen captured the match 6-3.

Kalamazoo will remain at home tomorrow for a pair of matches with the first against Case Western Reserve beginning at 10 a.m.
