CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won a regional matchup 6-3 at Coe College on Sunday.

Kalamazoo entered the match ranked No. 17 in the region while the host Kohawks were ranked No. 20 with a 9-2 record.

Kalamazoo opened the match by winning two of the three doubles matches before winning three through six singles in straight sets to win the match.

Maria Franco and Sabrina Dass won 8-3 at one doubles while Alexandria Oswalt won 8-5 at three.

Laura Hanselman won 6-2, 6-2 at three singles while Eloise Germic won 6-0, 6-4 at four. Siani Johnson won 6-2, 6-1 at five and Alexlandria Oswalt won 6-1, 6-0 at six.

Coe's wins at one and two singles both went to three sets.

Kalamazoo returns home to host a pair of matches next weekend. The Hornets host Principia Saturday morning, March 4 and Denison Sunday afternoon, March 5.
