KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won its MIAA opener with a 9-0 sweep of Olivet on Wednesday in the Markin Center.

Kalamazoo opened with three victories in doubles highlighted by Sarah Woods and Sabrina Woods 8-0 win at one doubles. Maria Franco and Eloise Germic won 8-1 at two doubles while Sonal Bahl and Maya Srkalovic won 8-2 at three.

Sarah Woods made quick work at one singles with a 6-1, 6-0 win followed by Sabrina Dass' 6-0, 6-0 win at three.

Maria Franco won 6-1, 6-0 at two singles before Eloise Germic's 6-4, 6-4 win at four.

Katie Clark won 6-2, 6-0 at five singles before Maya Srkalovic completed the sweep with a 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 win at six.

Kalamazoo heads next to Texas where the Hornets first square off with Texas Lutheran on March 21.
