KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team won its season opener 9-0 over Baldwin Wallace University on Saturday.

The No. 38 ranked Hornets swept the three doubles matches before winnings all six singles matches.

Sarah Woods won 6-0, 6-0 at one singles while teaming up with Maya Srkalovic for an 8-5 win at one doubles.

Maria Franco won 6-2, 6-4 at two singles and teamed up with Sonal Bahl for an 8-1 win at two doubles.

Siani Johnson and Eloise Germic won in straight sets at three and four singles, respectively, while also winning 8-0 at three doubles.

Katie Clark and Elizabeth Tyburski completed the sweep with wins at five and six singles.

Kalamazoo returns to action at home on Sunday, Feb. 14 when the Hornets face Case Western Reserve University at 10 a.m.
