KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team defeated Calvin College 5-0 in the MIAA Tournament semifinals at Stowe Stadium on Thursday.

Kalamazoo swept the three doubles points before winning two singles matches to secure the win.

Maria Franco and Olivia Bouchard won 8-1 at two doubles before Sarah Woods and Sabrina Dass won 8-3 at one doubles. Cheryl Zhang and Carrie Foura battled to a 9-8(4) win in three doubles for the sweep.

Franco proceeded to win 6-0, 6-0 at two singles while Dass clinched the team win with a 6-0, 6-1 win at three singles.

Kalamazoo (15-6) travels to Hope College on Friday for the tournament championship. The winner earns an automatic bid to the NCAA III Championships.
