KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team lost 7-2 to No. 28 Denison University on Saturday.

The visiting Big Red are also ranked No. 7 in the region while Kalamazoo is ranked No. 40 nationally and No. 11 in the region.

Denison won the first two matches in doubles (two and three) before Kalamazoo's Sarah Woods and Sabrina Dass came from behind to win 9-7 at one doubles.

Denison won at three singles before Woods won 6-4, 6-2 at one singles putting the score at 3-2 in favor of Denison. The Big Red proceeded to win the final four matches to secure the 7-2 win.

Dass took her match to three sets at number two, falling 6-0, 5-7, 6-0.

Kalamazoo returns to action on Sunday with the start of MIAA play at 1 p.m. against Alma.
