ORANGE, Calif. - The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team lost 8-1 at No. 32 Chapman University on Monday.

Chapman swept the three doubles points, including a narrow 9-8 win at No. 1 doubles over Sarah Woods and Sabrina Dass.

Woods earned Kalamazoo's only point with a 6-3, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles. 

Maria Franco had a close match at No. 3, falling 7-5, 6-4. Cheryl Zhang also had a close match at No. 4, falling 6-1, 4-6, 10-7.

Kalamazoo returns to action at Whittier on Wednesday, March 25.
