The Kalamazoo College women's tennis team defeated Wheaton College 5-4 in a regional matchup in the Markin Center on Saturday.
Kalamazoo swept the three doubles points to take a 3-0 lead.
Sarah Woods proceeded to win 6-4, 6-1 at No. 1 singles before Jenna Riehl won 6-2, 5-7, 6-3 at No. 2 singles to secure the victory.
Woods and Olivia Bouchard won 8-6 at No. 1 doubles while Jenna Riehl/Anna Latala and Kelsey Moran/Cheryl Zhang won at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles, respectively.
Wheaton (8-3) entered the match ranked No. 10 in the Central Region.
Kalamazoo (2-3) returns to action next Saturday when the Hornets host Alma College in the MIAA opener at 1 p.m.
