The Kalamazoo College men's basketball team lost 97-67 at Hope on Saturday. Hope led 49-37 at halftime.

Hope shot 51.5 percent overall while hitting 9-of-21 three-pointers and 18-of-31 free throws. Kalamazoo shot 37 percent overall, making 6-of-11 three's and 21-of-31 free throws. Fifty-two fouls were called in the game.

Hope outrebounded Kalamazoo 48-29, including 15-5 on the offensive end resulting in 18 second chance points.

Mark Ghafari led Kalamazoo with 22 points, eight rebounds, and four steals. Eric Fishman scored 11 points with two steals.

Carl Ghafari added eight points off the bench. Aaron Schoenfeldt scored six points with four rebounds while Carter Goetz scored five points with six rebounds.

Kalamazoo returns home to face Albion on Wednesday, Jan. 16 at 7:30 p.m.
