GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team won the 2016 MIAA championship with a 5-2 win at Calvin University on Saturday. Kalamazoo finished the regular season with a 7-0 league record while handing the Knights their only conference loss of the season. The championship is Kalamazoo's 91
st in school history and eighth consecutive dating back to 2017.
Kalamazoo won two of the three doubles matches to earn the doubles point before winning four of the six singles matches to clinch the victory.

Haresh Anand won 7-5 at two.
Crosby won 6-3, 7-5 at one singles. Blackwell won 6-2, 6-1 at three.
Will Seymour won 4-6, 6-2, 10-8 at four.
Sebastian Courtright won 7-5, 6-1 at five.
Kalamazoo will be the top seed in the MIAA Tournament Presented by Collegiate Credit Union. The Hornets will have a bye in the first round before hosting a semifinal on Wednesday, April 29. Prior to the start of the conference tournament, Kalamazoo will host Wisconsin-Whitewater in a non-conference match on Sunday, April 26, at 12 p.m.
