Taylor Stephens was selected as the SAAC (Student-Athlete Advisory Committee) Women's Hornet of the Week on Wednesday.

A senior outside hitter from Okemos, Mich. (Okemos), Stephens played a major role in helping Kalamazoo College volleyball to a key MIAA victory over Olivet last week.

Stephens first led the Hornets in kills (15) and blocks (5) along with 18 digs and one ace in a five-set loss at Adrian on Tuesday, then led the bounce-back effort against Olivet on Friday tying for a team-high 10 kills, hitting a season-best .318, adding 11 digs and two aces.

This year, Stephens has set new career-highs in nearly every statistical category, currently leading the Hornets in kills (211) and points (256), second on the team in digs (246) and third in blocks (36).

Kalamazoo volleyball plays at Alma College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.
