Men's Soccer Plays Oberlin to 1-1 Tie

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team played Oberlin College to a 1-1 tie Saturday afternoon.

Lucas Ruiz gave Kalamazoo a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute of the contest (Elijah Vue assist). Oberlin tied it with a goal in the 39th minute. Neither team scored over the final 61 minutes of play.

Oberlin outshot Kalamazoo 12-7 overall, 6-5 on goal. Kalamazoo held a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.

Darius Wright III was credited with five saves in goal.

Kalamazoo returns home to face nationally-ranked North Park University on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 7 p.m.
