BATTLE CREEK, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's golf team won the two-day Lou Collins Memorial Tournament hosted by Olivet at Bedford Valley Golf Course Friday and Saturday.
Kalamazoo's 308 on Friday was the lowest team score. The Hornets followed up with 313 on Saturday for a combined 621 to win the tournament. Albion finished second at 624.
Ethan Daugherty led the Hornets with a 156 (78-78) to tie for fifth overall. Daugherty was named to the All-Tournament Team through a tiebreaker.
Jack Hackwell also shot a 156 (78-78) to tie for fifth.
MacKale McGuire shot 157 (77-80), followed by
Nick Coseo's 158 (80-78),
Emiliano Alvarado Rescala's 158 (75-83) and
Lucas Downing's 159Â (82-77).
Kalamazoo returns to action on Sept. 9 at the Ken Venturi Invitational hosted by Trine.
