HOLLAND, Mich. – The Kalamazoo College baseball team was defeated 11-7 at Hope College on Wednesday. Kalamazoo won two of the three games in the series.
Kalamazoo took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third but trailed 2-1 after four. The Hornets regained the lead (3-2) on

th home run of the season. Hope followed with five runs in the bottom of the fifth and four in the seventh to take an 11-3 lead. Kalamazoo battled back with four runs in the top of the ninth. The Hornets rally ended with two runners on base.
Hope outhit Kalamazoo 14-8 in today's game.
Ryar Rinehart finished 3-for-3 with the home run and three RBIs.
Robert Newland had a double.
Kalamazoo is scheduled to host Trine in a single game on Thursday, April 17, at 4 p.m. That game was moved up a day due to forecasted inclement weather on Friday.
