WOOSTER, Ohio – The Kalamazoo College women's lacrosse team falls to the College of Wooster 23-8 on Saturday, March 8
th. With the loss, the Hornets drop to 0-6 to start the season.
The Scots took control early, building a 12-0 lead by the end of the first period and extending it to 15-2 at halftime. The Hornets could not bounce back in the second half, as they were outscored 8-6.
Wooster held the advantage over Kalamazoo in shots, ground balls, and draw controls.
Tessa Fuller led the Hornets' offense with four goals and two assists.
Ella Spooner was the second leading scorer with three goals, one assist, one ground ball, and one caused turnover.
Natalie Maki also found the back of the net for the Hornets.
Defensively,
Annslee Ware led the team with four caused turnovers.
Kennedy Hynde dominated the draw circle with a team-high of five draw controls, followed closely by
Julia Kozal with four.
In goal,
Jordan Flink recorded eight saves and collected two ground balls.
The Hornets return to action on Thursday, March 20
th as they take on Muhlenberg in Allentown, PA.
