GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Kalamazoo College Women's Soccer team lost, 3-1, at Calvin Tuesday in the MIAA Semifinals.
Calvin scored the only goal in the first half in the 11th minute. The Knights scored again in the 51st and 54th minutes to push their lead to 3-0.
The Hornets struck back with a goal that ricocheted off the goalpost and Calvin goaltender after a kick from the edge of the goal box from Ruby Hogan in the 63rd minute.
Jess Forbis made two saves in defeat, as Calvin took the shot total, 13-7, and had five shots on goal to three for the Hornets.
With the loss, Kalamazoo women's soccer finishes the season 10-6-4. The Knights advance to the MIAA Championship Game, where they will host Hope on Saturday.
