CHICAGO, Ill. - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team was defeated 3-1 at No. 18 North Park University on Wednesday.
The host Vikings (6-0-3) scored first in the 22nd minute and held the 1-0 lead until halftime.
North Park scored on a penalty kick less than two minutes into the second half. The Vikings scored again in the 55th minute.
Kalamazoo got on the board in the 73rd minute with a goal by
Jaden Buist, his second of the season.
North Park held a 14-9 advantage in shots, 6-2 on goal.
Gavin Houtkooper was credited with three saves in goal for the Hornets (3-3-1).
Kalamazoo returns to action on Saturday, Sept. 28, at DePauw University at 3 p.m.
