Men's Tennis Falls to #18 Gustavus Adolphus in NCAA III Championships

WHITEWATER, Wis. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team's season came to an end on Friday in a 5-0 loss to Gustavus Adolphus College in the first round of the NCAA III Championships at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.

The No. 18 Gusties won all three doubles matches before winning two singles matches to win the match and advance to Saturday's second round match against host Wisconsin-Whitewater.

Gabe Vidinas/Alex Fleming lost 8-3 at one doubles. Adnan Alousi/Julian Bilbao had a narrow 8-6 defeat at two. Tieran Rafferty/Parker Foster were defeated 8-1 at three.

Gustavus clinched the match with a 6-1, 6-1 win at five singles and a 6-1, 6-0 win at six.

Kalamazoo finishes the season with an overall record of 9-11. The Hornets advanced to the national tournament after winning their 41st MIAA Tournament title. The Hornets also won their 89th MIAA regular season championship this year.
