ADRIAN, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team came up short in a 3-1 defeat in the Hornets' season finale at Adrian Wednesday night.
After falling 25-17, 25-12 in the first two sets, Kalamazoo came back to win the third set 25-16. Trailing 24-15 in the fourth, Kalamazoo scored four straight points before finally falling 25-19.
The host Bulldogs hit .180 overall compared to .098 by the Hornets.
Brittany Miller led Kalamazoo with 13 kills and 16 digs.
Taylor Stephens finished with 10 kills.
Juliette Bournay had five kills with three blocks.
Ava Bechler had four kills with three blocks.
Tatum Casper also had four kills.
Makala Goddard led the team with 17 assists.
Emerson Arensman finished with 13.
Lizzy Rachiele had a team-high 21 digs.
Rachel Meston finished with 12 digs. Arensman and Goddard each had 11.Â
Kalamazoo finished the 2024 season with an overall record of 8-17.
