NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 74-64 in overtime Saturday afternoon at Manchester University.

Kalamazoo led 32-27 at halftime. The Spartans mae a layup in the closing seconds of regulation to send the game to overtime.

Kalamazoo shot 42.9 percent overall compared to 38.1 percent by Manchester. The Spartans sank 22-of-35 free throws compared to 18-of-25 by the Hornets.

Kaelyn Arlington led the Hornets with 16 points. Ruby Hogan finished with 15 points.

Jackie Brines scored 10 points with five rebounds and six assists. Sara English added nine points. Jordan Wesaw led the team with eight rebounds.

Kalamazoo opens MIAA play Wednesday, Nov. 29, at Adrian.
