OLIVET, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team won 66-54 at Olivet College on Monday, completing the regular-season sweep of the Comets.

After giving up the first basket of the game, Kalamazoo went on a 12-0 run to lead 12-2 midway through the first quarter. Kalamazoo led 18-9 at the end of the first.

Kalamazoo shot 48.4 percent in each of the first two quarters en route to a 41-21 halftime lead.

The Hornets took a 56-34 lead into the fourth and led by as many as 26 (60-34) a minute in, but the Comets scored 20 of the last 26 points to make it a 66-54 final in favor of the Hornets.

Kalamazoo shot 36.1 percent overall compared to 34.5 percent by Olivet. Kalamazoo held a 51-31 advantage in rebounds, including 18-6 on the offensive end.

Laila Vincent led the Hornets with 21 points and 12 rebounds for her sixth double-double of the season.

Kaytlyn Tidey and Christiana Hunt each scored 12 points. Kaelyn Arlington finished with 10 points and eight rebounds.

Kalamazoo is back in action Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Calvin.
