GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College volleyball team lost its season opener 3-0 to Augsburg on Friday at the Calvin Labor Day Weekend Tournament. Augsburg defeated Kalamazoo 25-14, 25-17, 25-15.

Claire Davis, Halley Johnson and Ann Lawrence each had three kills to lead the Hornets offensively.

Molly Horton had five assists and three digs while Ashley Rill led the team with five digs. Halley Johnson had four digs.

The Hornets are scheduled to face Grove City on Saturday at 1 p.m. followed by a match with the host Knights at 3 p.m.
