Kalamazoo – The Kalamazoo College volleyball team opened MIAA conference play Tuesday night by dropping a three-set decision to Albion College at Anderson Athletic Center. The Britons defeated the Hornets 25-15, 25-23, 25-13.

Rorie Dougherty, Halley Johnson and Ann Lawrence shared top honors for the Hornets with five kills apiece. Kayla Ridenour paced Kalamazoo in assists with 11, while Lizzy Rachiele led the Hornets with 12 digs.

Kalamazoo (3-6, 0-1 MIAA) will face a quick turnaround, hosting Manchester at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday.
