KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team hosted the ITA Central Regionals Oct. 1-3.

Kalamazoo Doubles Results

(5) Peter Fitzgerald/Ian Yi defeated Jake McDivitt/Jamie Price (Otterbein) 8-6 in the Round of 32 on Friday. Fitzgerald/Yi then defeated Brett Gurzull/Drake Malcolm (Albion) 8-3. The Hornets lost 8-3 in the quarterfinals to (4) Derek Hsieh/Christian Alshon (Chicago) on Saturday.

Dylan Drier/Adnan Alousi lost their opening match 8-2 to Timmy Cianciola/Andy Macker (Denison). The Hornets then defeated Aaron Streit/Ryan Smith (Trine) 8-1 in consolations. Drier/Alousi lost 8-7(6) in the consolation quarterfinals to Thomas Kallarakal/Luis Platas (Kenyon) on Saturday.

Kalamazoo Singles Results

(5) Ian Yi defeated Tyler Stafford (Hope) 6-1, 6-0 in the Round of 64. Yi then defeated Lucas Guy (WashU) 6-2, 6-4 in the Round of 32. Yi was defeated in the Round of 16 on Saturday by Rishil Kondapaneni (Kenyon), 7-5, 7-5.

Gabe Vidinas defeated Peyton Specht (Ohio Northern) 6-1, 6-3 in the Round of 64 before falling 6-1, 6-1 to (9) Daniel Li (WashU).

Casey Johnson defeated Joshua Giambattista (Rose Hulman) 6-3, 7-5 before falling 6-0, 6-0 to (9) Christian Alshon (Chicago) in the Round of 32.
