Men's Soccer falls 2-1 at Capital

BEXLEY, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team lost 2-1 at Capital University on Sunday.

After a scoreless first half, the host Crusaders scored goals in the 51st and 59th minutes. Kalamazoo was finally able to get on the board when Thomas Bryant tapped scored in the 76th minute.

Kalamazoo attempted to tie with a corner kick in the closing seconds but was unable to convert.

Kalamazoo held a 13-11 advantage in shots, including 8-7 on goal.

Matt Smolinski made five saves in goal.

Following the conclusion of the tournament, Jacob Waier and Joshua Robison were selected to the All-Tournament Team.

Kalamazoo returns to action next Saturday, Sept. 12 when the Hornets host DePauw at 7 p.m.
