The Kalamazoo College volleyball team dropped its first match of the day to Hope College, 3-0, on Saturday, Sept. 26.

Leading the way for the Hornets in their defeat was Kaela Van Til who recorded six kills. Shelby Suseland recorded five kills.

Defensively, Dana DeVito ended the match with 20 digs.

In the second match of the day, Kalamazoo fell to non-conference opponent, Heidelberg University, 3-0.

Van Til and Suseland once again led the way attacking-wise for the Hornets, each recording eight kills in the match. Suseland ended with an impressive .400 hitting percentage.

The Hornets were held to an overall hitting percentage of .133 against Heidelberg.

Kalamazoo will look to bounce back next Wednesday, Sept. 30 when it travels to Olivet College for a 7 p.m. MIAA match.
