Box Score The Kalamazoo College women's basketball team lost 97-52 at No. 2 Calvin College in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on Wednesday.
Kalamazoo trailed by just two points (9-7) early in the contest before a 21-1 run put the Knights up by 22 (30-8) with 8:35 left in the half. Calvin led 44-17 at halftime and extended the lead throughout the second half.
Calvin shot 52.9 percent overall while sinking 11-of-18 three pointers. Kalamazoo shot 31 percent overall while hitting 7-of-20 three's. Calvin held a 46-31 advantage in rebounds.
Katrina Carlsen led the Hornets in scoring with 10 points in 13 minutes off the bench.
Emily Lindsay and Nicole Antoine each scored seven points while Madeline Sinkovich and Lucy Mailing each finished with five points.
Kalamazoo returns home to face Trine on Saturday, Jan. 12 at 3 p.m.
