Box Score The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team played Capital University to a 1-1 tie on Saturday at Trine.
Capital scored first just 10 minutes into the contest on a shot from 20 yards out.
Kalamazoo evened the score with Dagan Hammar's successful penalty kick in the 37th minute.
The score remained tied at halftime and neither team was able to score in the second half or 20 minutes of overtime.
Capital outshot Kalamazoo 14-4, including 5-2 on goal.
Dane Macdonell made four saves in goal for the Hornets.
Kalamazoo returns to Trine next Saturday, Sept. 15 for a conference match against the Thunder beginning at 2:30 p.m.
