Box Score The Kalamazoo College men's soccer team won 5-1 at Alma on Saturday.
The host Scots scored first just 35 seconds into the contest.
It took Kalamazoo nearly 11 minutes to respond with a goal by Roger Mason Darling (Shabino assist). The Hornets added a second goal in the 23rd minute by Nicholas Shabino (Emerson Talanda-Fisher assist) and took the 2-1 lead into halftime.
Jordan Veillette made it 3-1 with a goal in the 60th minute (MacDonald assist). Less than a minute later Shabino scored again to make it 4-1 (Ken Tsuchiya assist).
Shane MacDonald capped the scoring with a goal in the 90th minute (David Morris assist).
Kalamazoo outshot Alma 16-12, including 9-5 on goal.
Beau Prey made four saves in goal for the Hornets (5-1-1, 3-0 MIAA).
Kalamazoo returns to action at Olivet on Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 4 p.m.
