The women's basketball team lost 77-70 to Adrian at home on Saturday, Feb. 11. Adrian led by as many as seven points in the first half before taking a 35-31 lead into halftime. The Bulldogs led by eight points (50-42) early in the second half, but Kalamazoo used an 8-0 run to tie the score at 50-50 with 12:19 remaining. Kalamazoo was within five points over the next 11 minutes, but the Hornets were never able to take a lead. Adrian sank eight free throws in the final 1:06 to seal the win.

Adrian shot 52.9 percent overall while sinking 19-of-25 free throws. Kalamazoo shot 36.4 percent overall and made 24-of-30 free throws. Adrian outrebounded Kalamazoo, 38-28. Kalamazoo turned the ball over just 10 times while scoring 20 points off 18 Adrian turnovers.

Nicole Antoine led Kalamazoo with 18 points and three steals while going 8-for-8 at the free throw line. Emily Lindsay scored 17 points with four three-pointers and 5-of-6 at the line. Carly Zeitlin finished with 10 points and four rebounds. Anne Colonius added 12 points and three rebounds. Kalamazoo plays its final home game of the season on Wednesday, Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m. against Albion.
